Greg is a 2001 graduate of Derry, and is currently on the spring roster to pitch for the Slippery Rock Slider's of the Frontier League.  Lasinski was an all-conference pitcher for the Trojans, and went on to standout at Westmoreland Community College, and then Salisbury University in Maryland, where he earned second team All-America honors for the Seagulls, who were ranked in the top 25 in the country each of his two seasons.  He posted a 17-5 record with two saves and a 3.06 ERA in two seasons at Salisbury.  After concluding a very successful collegiate career, Lasinski was signed by the Washington Wild Things last May, where he appeared in five games, posting a 1-0 record and a 1.54 ERA with eight strikeouts in 11.2 innings. He was traded to River City Missouri, for whom he posted a 1-1 record out of the bullpen in nine games with the Rascals.  Between the two clubs, Greg made 13 relief appearances and two starts with a 2.05 ERA.

Lasinski was also a standout quarterback at Derry Area, leading the Trojans to the playoffs his senior year.  Lasinski is currently finishing his student teaching at Salisbury in Physical Education.  He will report to Slippery Rock in early May.
