Driving Directions To Burkett Sports Complex

From Derry Area High School:  Take 982 or Keystone Road out to Route 22 at New Alexandria.  Turn left on Route 22 traveling toward Pittsburgh about 19 miles. Make sure to be in right lane after passing #1 Cochran in Monroeville, and enter onto the Parkway West (376 West).   Continue for 14 miles and through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel until you see the exit for I-279 South to the Airport. You will go over the Fort Pitt Bridge and through the Fort Pitt Tunnel.  Continue on 279 South for 10 miles until you come to Exit #1 (Robinson Town Center Boulevard.)  You will then take Route 60 South (Steubenville Pike) for 2.1 miles.  The Burkett Park entrance will be on your right.

Kittanning
Route 22 to Route 119 toward Indiana.  Continue on 119 until you see the Kittanning Exit.  Take exit and you will be on Route 422 toward Kittanning.  When you get to big intersection on 422, (16-18 miles) take the West Kittanning Exit.  (Old Route 422)  At the traffic light at the bottom of the hill, make a right.  Follow this road (Water Street) along the river until you get to Market Street.  Make a right and follow past the Courthouse which will be straight ahead.  As soon as you pass the courthouse make a left.  Note: Do not travel all the way up the hill!  After you make the left you will follow the road about two blocks before you see the sign for the Park on your right.  Make a right into the park.  Baseball field is on top.

Latrobe
Legion Keener Field (Across from football stadium)

Penn Trafford
Route 22 to Delmont.  Cross Route 66 at Delmont.  Continue to the third traffic light and you will see the spaghetti and steak house on your left.  Turn left at the light.  Continue straight and you will pass through the Westmoreland golf course.  You will come to a stop sign.  Continue straight onto Harrison City/Export road until you come to the next traffic light in Harrison City.  Turn right onto route 130 West and travel up the hill.  The field and High School will be directly off the road on your left. 

Greensburg Salem (Lynch Field)
Route 22 to New Alexandria.  Make left onto route 119 South toward Crabtree.  Continue on 119 approximately 7-8 miles until you get to Lynch Field on left.  If you continue to the underpass in Greensburg, you traveled too far.
Note: You may travel Route 30 West and take the Pittsburgh Street Exit through the underpass, but you will have to fight the traffic.

Greensburg Central Catholic
Route 30 West past the Westmoreland Mall.  Continue on Route 30 until you see the sign for route 119 Connellsville/Blairsville.  Take this exit and make a right at the light.  Travel under the route 30 bridge and turn right at the second traffic light.  Travel up the hill and the school will be on your right. 

Norwin
Route 30 West toward Irwin.  After you pass the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange, travel through three traffic lights.  When you come to the blinking yellow light, make a right.  At the stop sign, make a left.  At the second traffic light, make a left back onto Route 30.  You will again come to the blinking lights.  Make a right and at the foot of the hill make a left onto McMahon Drive.  Follow to the top and you will find the school/field. 

Mount Pleasant
Route 30 to traffic light at the Latrobe Airport.  Make a left onto route 981.  Follow 981 past the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds.  You will come to a stop sign and see an open pantry store on your left.  Turn right and be sure that you turn right and not bear right.  Follow this road to a stop sign.  Go straight.  You will see the school.  The baseball field is located behind the school. 

Laurel Highlands (High School)
Route 30 west to route 119 South through Connellsville.  As you approach Uniontown, you will come to the Penn State Fayette Campus on your right.  Travel one half mile past Penn State and you will see a sign that reads "Route 119S Morgantown"  Follow route 119 South for 2 3/4 miles to the Gallatin Avenue Exit.  Exit to the right and travel to the stop sign.  Turn left and drive another one half mile to the next stop sign.  Turn right onto Gallatin Avenue and travel 1/4 mile to a third stop sign.  Go straight ahead and travel about 200 yards.  School entrance will be on your left.
Note: Check with Athletic Department to see if they are playing at their recreation field

Indiana (Simplest Route)
 Route 217 to Blairsville.  Follow route 22 east to route 119 north toward Indiana.  Continue on route 119 bypass until you see the Clymer/Indiana Exit.  Get off exit ramp and stay straight toward Indiana.  At the first traffic light you will turn left.  Travel about a half mile and you will see the White Township Parks Entrance on your left.  Turn left and follow road to all fields.  Your best bet is to park in the upper lot and use the walking path to get to the upper field.   Note: You can take Wayne Avenue, but it will take longer with the lights around the IUP campus. 

Yough
Travel on Route 30 west through Jeannette.  You will pass Victory Chevrolet on your left.  Get into the left lane and look for a big green water tower on your left.  At the top of the hill, turn left at Kenny Ross Ford.  Go straight at the 4-way stop sign over the turnpike.  Continue on this road past West Hempfield Elementary School.  Then bear right at the next stop sign and continue until you come to a "T" intersection. Turn right into Herminie.  At the first stop sign, turn right and travel about 100 yards before making a left at the appliance store.  At the 4-way stop sign turn right.  Follow road and school will be on the right.  Field is located adjacent to the football stadium.  

Note:  A more simple and convenient route to Yough would be to take route 22 to the route 66 bypass (Delmont), and make a left off the exit ramp.(66 South) Then travel about eight miles on 66 to the Route 136 West Newton Exit.  After paying the $1.00 toll, make right off toll ramp and make a left onto Route 136 West.  Follow 136 West all the way into Herminie, and when you get to the Fire Station on the right (Can't miss it!) make a right.  Then travel about 100 yards and make the first left after the appliance store.  At the next stop sign, make a right and travel up the hill to the school on your right.  If you do not mind paying a dollar, you will find this route to be a lot less irritating.

Kiski School
Travel on Route 981 and then cross Route 22 in New Alexandria.  Follow route 981 until you reach the stop sign at the Saltsburg bridge, which will be on your right.  Continue straight up the hill and around the bend.  Do not Bear right!  The turn for the field will be on your left as soon as you get to the crest of the hill.  If you pass the Kiski School Football field and BP station, you went a little too far.

Southmoreland
Travel on Route 981 South past Latrobe Airport and toward Mount Pleasant.  At the Crivelli Chevrolet Garage, turn right and go to the stop sign.  Turn left and continue straight through the traffic light and over Route 119 to Alverton (Several Miles)  The school will be on your right, and the field is located above the school.
