Personal:  Coach Flickinger graduated from Derry in 1992 and was a three sport letter winner in football, baseball and wrestling.  He helped the Trojans to three playoff appearances in baseball in 1990, 1991 and 1992, two of which were section titles ('90 and '92).  John played baseball at Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and earned all conference and All-America honors as a catcher and third baseman.  He is currently teaching Health and Physical Education at Derry High School.  When he is not coaching, John enjoys playing baseball in the Indiana County League and he also is the color commentator for IUP football in the fall.  He resides in North Versailles with his wife Beth.
