Ben Downs

Ben is a 2004 Graduate of Derry, and played on the last Trojan team to get to the second round of the WPIAL playoffs.  He played a big role that season batting .365, while leading the team in doubles.  Currently, Ben is a Junior back-up first baseman for the College of Wooster in Ohio.  Wooster is one of the top schools in Division III baseball, and began the2007 season 15-0.  Ben will also get at-bats in a utility role including pinch and designated hitting. 

Ben also played football at Derry earning all conference honors as a tight end.  He is currently double-majoring in Africana studies and history.
